Day 1

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar – Gateway to Mongolia’s Heritage

Upon arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by your guide and driver. Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s dynamic capital where ancient tradition meets modern innovation. From sleek skyscrapers to centuries-old monasteries and cozy gers, the city offers a captivating blend of past and present.

You’ll check into your centrally located hotel, just steps away from Sukhbaatar Square, renowned museums, and vibrant local shops. After settling in, enjoy a brief orientation tour to get acquainted with UB’s unique character and cultural highlights. In the evening, savor a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2

Journey to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park – Hiking into Nomadic Heartlands

Depart Ulaanbaatar and drive to the scenic expanse of Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, known for its dramatic rock formations, alpine meadows, and tranquil rivers. Upon arrival, begin your multi-day hiking adventure through the park’s pristine landscapes.

Each day, you’ll travel light—your personal luggage and camping gear will be transported by a support vehicle or traditional ox cart, allowing for fast, unburdened movement. Along the way, visit the gers of local herding families, offering an authentic glimpse into Mongolia’s enduring nomadic lifestyle.

In the evenings, arrive at a new campsite where your spacious two-person tent awaits, complete with the comforts of catered camping.

Day 3 - 7

Into the Khentii Mountains – Valleys, Saddles, and Sacred Ruins

Continue our journey with a scenic hike and horseback ride through the valleys and forested ridges of the Khentii Mountains, homeland of Chinggis Khaan.

Traverse lush terrain as you make your way north into the secluded Baruunbayan Valley, where you’ll spend two nights at a tranquil riverside base camp.

From this camp, embark on a full-day riding excursion to Gunjin Sum, a hidden temple ruin nestled deep in the forest—a hauntingly beautiful remnant of Mongolia’s spiritual past. While prior riding experience is recommended, a support vehicle or ox cart is always available for those who prefer a break from the saddle.

Each night, unwind beneath the stars in your spacious tent, surrounded by the quiet majesty of the Khentii wilderness.

Days 8

Final Ride to Princess Lodge – Serenity in Khan Khentii

Conclude your riding journey at the welcoming Princess Lodge ger camp, nestled in the serene landscapes of Khan Khentii. After days of exploration, this peaceful retreat offers the perfect setting to unwind and reflect.

In the evening, indulge in a relaxing wooden sauna, letting the warmth soothe your muscles as you take in the stillness of the surrounding wilderness. The quiet beauty of the steppe, paired with the gentle comforts of the lodge, creates a truly restorative atmosphere.

Day 9

Return to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, begin your return drive to Ulaanbaatar, retracing your path through Mongolia’s vast and varied landscapes. Upon arrival, settle back into your hotel and prepare for an evening of cultural immersion.

Attend a captivating folk performance featuring the haunting art of throat singing, mesmerizing traditional dances, and the astonishing grace of Mongolian contortionists—a vivid showcase of the nation’s artistic heritage.

Later, gather for a festive farewell dinner, sharing stories and reflections from your journey across the steppe.

Full day guided sightseeing in UB.

Afterward, enjoy time for shopping at the State Department Store and a renowned cashmere boutique, perfect for finding elegant keepsakes and gifts.
